We always need caring, reliable fosterers who have experience with dogs.

Some of the dogs that come into our care have been mistreated, starved, and beaten, and will require a lot of love and patience. Being a foster can be a lot of hard work, but hugely rewarding at the same time

If you are one of the special people who can offer one of our dogs a safe, loving, caring foster home please contact one of our coordinators.

To My Guardian Angel

There I sat, alone and afraid,
You got a call and came right to my aid.

You bundled me up with blankets and love.
And, when I needed it most, you gave me a hug.

I learned that the world was not all that scary and cold.
That sometimes there is someone to have and to hold.

You taught me what love is, you helped me to mend.
You loved me and healed me and became my first friend.

And just when I thought you’d done all you do,
There came along not one new lesson, but two.

First you said, “sweetie, you’re ready to go.
I’ve done all I can, and you’ve learned all I know.”

Then you bundled me up with a blanket and kiss.
Along came a new family, they even have kids!

They took me to their home, forever to stay.
At first I thought you sent me away.

Then that second lesson became perfectly clear.
No matter how far, you will always be near.

And so, my guardian angel you know I’ve moved on.
I have a new home, with toys and a lawn.

But I’ll never forget what I learned that first day.
You never really give your fosters away.

You gave me these thoughts to remember you by.
We may never meet again, and now I know why.

You’ll remember I lived with you for a time.
I may not be yours, but you’ll always be mine.

Roxy

Meet Roxy, the last of the lurcher puppies we were asked to help. All her brothers and sisters now have a home .. Can you offer Roxy somewhere to call home??

Murphy

He is a 6 year old collie x. He has been castrated, and is up to date with his vaccinations. Murphy is okay with children, has been living with a cat and is house trained.

When out on walks he can pull on the lead but with training this may be rectified. His previous owner has said he is okay with other dogs but has never been around cats. He has suffered from 2 or 3 fits in the last year, but the vet is not overly concerned about these and say he does not need any medication for them..

Murphy’s foster was hoping to keep him, but due to a change in circumstance will need him to find a new home.

Milo is a male Jack Russell – neutering, vaccinating and chipping arranged. He is approx 2yrs old, housetrained. He is very affectionate but has definitely been abused and needs a confident patient owner who will help him learn to trust again

Wilf is a crossbreed – possibly Yorkie x poodle(?) and he is so loving and affectionate. House trained and obedient. Good with cats and dogs too. Does little tricks, begging, high five, paw, just a wonderful little guy Wilf is neutered, microchipped and treated for fleas and worms. Vaccination course has been started

Lurcher Puppies just one left

We have been asked to assist in rehoming three 12 week old female lurcher pups – mother is a whippet and father is a small lurcher. These are lovely gentle dogs and are to be rehomed as pets only – *NOT* working dogs
