Pets at home

We enjoyed 4 days fundraising at the Dewsbury Pets at Home store, finishing on 21 April with a busy day microchipping dogs at the store, the event in total raised over £300, plus Pets at Home pledged a further £400.

On the final day a photographer from the Reporter Series showed up to photograph some of the team for an article which was published in this weeks Spenborough Guardian.

Judy Woods

On Sunday the 21st February at 10 o’clock we met at Judy Woods, Station Lane, Wyke BD12 8LA for an organised dog walk. This was a chance to meet up and chat for a couple of hours while we enjoyed the beauty of the woods in winter.
None of us could believe it when we looked out of our windows and saw the snow, the forecast had said clear skies with plenty of sun, so we thought that there would be a good turnout for our 1st walk.

Sue,Kathy,Sarah,Dave,Bernard and Liz with assorted dogs did manage to get to the woods where the dogs had a lovely time dashing around it the snow, we know that a few people were disappointed that due to the weather they could not get to the woods, so we will arrange another walk there in a few weeks.

It would be especially nice to meet some of our rehomed dogs, please bring them along and introduce them.

We have had a very large Vet bill lately for one of our dogs, so we would welcome a small donation of £2.

Please remember you must be responsible for your dog at all times and scoop the poop at the entrance to the woods and on the pathways.
We look forward to seeing as many people as possible, if this walk is well attended we will organise some more in the Spring and Summer months, so watch this space for the date of the next meet.

Elvis tribute Evening was a huge success raising over £400. so thank you to everyone who attended and it was a night enjoyed by all.  We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped with the evening, preparing food, bringing raffle prizes etc.
